Prayer Concerns
We’re thankful that Shirley De Boer’s surgery went well and there were no complications. Please continue to pray for her as she recovers.
Remember to pray for Thelma Terpstra who is still in the CHCC. Please limit your visits or call before coming.
Church News
VISITORS: Please sign the guest book in the narthex and join us after our morning worship service for coffee and fellowship in the Fireside Room. You are also invited and welcome to join the group that is meeting for lunch in the church basement following our coffee time.
SENIORS BIBLE STUDY (Monday evening) will not meet until further notice.
CHOIR will meet on Tuesday this week instead of Wednesday.
SHINE MEMBERS: Please bring a case of pop or bottled water for the Youth House.
FORCAST FONDUE: On February 13 at 6:15 p.m. the Vandenbergs are hosting their first FORCAST event! This Cheese & Chocolate Fondue requires each couple to bring something to dip and share. Email or call Scott and Amy with the dippable item you plan to bring – as we don’t want any repeats. Whoever emails first will get their pick…the last have to be more creative! One couple already has “claimed” their item and so it begins! FYI, this event is lined up at the same time as the SHINE babysitting offer (6–8:30 p.m. at Bethel).
WILD GAME DINNER: The Lynden Outdoor Club is hosting their first annual Wild Game Dinner on Wednesday, February 10 at the Swine Barn in the Northwest Washington Fairgrounds. This club is composed of members of four area churches who have a vision to build relationships and be bridge-builders within the hunting, fishing, and outdoors-minded people in our community. For more details be sure to check the announcement in the Community Bulletin.
TIME TO REACH KIDS WITH THE GOOD NEWS!: I need an adult to be present (no teaching required) at the Good News Club at Curt Maberry Camp on Mondays from 3:45-4:45. If you are filled with a passion to spread the Good News to kids, please contact me (Marv Apol).
HELP WITH HOMEWORK: On Wednesday and Thursday afternoons from 3:15-4:15, Amor Viviente plans to have homework time for Hispanic children. If you are interested in helping, please contact Marv Apol.
REMINDER: Don’t forget to turn in your completed surveys; please place them in the marked box in the narthex today.
HOUSEHOLD CHANGE: The Van Dalen/Korthuis Household of Faith will meet February 28 and the Hiemstra/Tennant group will meet March 14.
