REMEMBER IN PRAYER: Please pray for Ben Spoelstra. He was returned to ICU Tuesday and is experiencing a high level of pain. Pray that there would be no infection or other complications as he recovers from his recent surgery. Remember also Colleen as she comes to visit with him.

THANK YOU: Thank you Bethel family for all the prayers, cards, and meals. Lea is healing nicely from the back surgery and we have deeply appreciated all that you have done to speed along that recovery! -TerBeek Family

PLEASE PRAY FOR Homer Wigboldy who will be having rotator cuff surgery on Wednesday. Pray that the surgery will go well and for fast healing.

Church News

BLOOD PRESSURE CHECKS are available after the morning service in the Parish Nursing room (off of the sanctuary).

GEMS COUNSELORS: We will meet at 7:00 pm on Monday, January 30 at the Fairway Woods.

KITCHEN TOWELS: Whoever is borrowing the upstairs burgundy kitchen towels, or has taken them home to clean them, please return them. Thank you.

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED: We are in need of a few good men. Our crew of bulletin folders is down to one. If you would like to help please call Gerrit Van Andel.

FROM THE COUNCIL: Thank you very much for making the extra effort to participate in the Listening Groups this past week. One of the Pastor Church Relations Team will be visiting with us before the end of March to present a report with recommendations. Please keep Pastor’s Norm and Cecil in your prayers as they prepare this report and please continue to pray for Bethel Church that God would bring renewal and well being to each of us.

First choir rehearsal is Wednesday, February 15 from 7:15-8:45 p.m.

WILD GAME DINNER: The Lynden Outdoor Club is inviting everyone to their annual Wild Game Dinner on Wednesday, February 8, in the Swine Barn at the Northwest Washington Fairgrounds. Admission is $5.00 for adults (kids are free) which includes a salmon dinner for all. The doors open at 6:00 with the dinner starting at 6:30. There will be outdoor themed displays along with outdoor club information. The highlight of the evening will be speaker Matt Potratz. Matt was an extreme snowmobile rider who was in an avalanche. Come and hear his incredible testimony and story of survival. For questions contact Karl Bosman.

BABYSITTING: Go ahead! Plan a romantic Valentines night with your beloved. SHINE students are hosting a babysitting night for your children on February 14 from 5:00-8:00 (by donation). All proceeds go toward our summer mission’s trip to New Jersey. Please let Yuanita know if you are interested or have any questions.
