Adult Education

Sunday school classes include Bible studies, presentations and discussions of interest to adult Christians. Classes meet every Sunday at 9:20 a.m. during the school year (September–May).

A nursery is provided for children two years old and younger during the Sunday School hour.

Bible Study

Many opportunities for Bible study are available at Bethel Church. Mens groups meet on Tuesday and Thursday mornings. Womens groups meet Tuesday morning, Wednesday morning and Thursday evening. Seniors Bible study meets on Monday night.

Households of Faith

We minister to the spiritual and physical needs of our congregation through Households of Faith, smaller groups of our member families. Because social times are also an important part of our church life at Bethel, most Sundays one of the Household groups gathers for a potluck lunch, usually held downstairs in the Fellowship Room. Visitors to Bethel Church are always welcome to join them for lunch after the morning worship service.

Women of Worth

WOW — Women of Worth — is a ministry and mission to women, to help them grow both socially and spiritually, and to plan activities in which women can mentor and help each other. The goals of this ministry are for women to connect with each other on a deeper level, to interact and encourage other women, to be a place where women can be united and grow spiritually through fun and fellowship, and to be a comfortable setting to invite those who do not yet know Jesus.

FORCAST

FORCAST — Finding Our Relationship in Christ As Spouses Together — is a fun social group for married couples in their twenties and thirties. The group meets once a month throughout the year, sometimes just for couples, and sometimes including the children. Dinners, picnics, game night, bowling, watching the Lynden Christmas Lighted Parade, a bon fire and hot dogs at the beach, and swimming at the wave pool are some of FORCAST's recent activities.

Parish Nursing

Parish nursing is a congregational-based ministry, which caters to the whole person — body, mind and spirit. This ministry arises from the needs of the congregation and is realized through the talents of registered nurses and other health professionals or lay leaders who combine health science with pastoral care. Parish nursing provides medical resources and referrals, prayers, home and hospital visits, advocacy, transportation, education, encouragement and equipment.
